MAZDA AIRBAG RECALL

Recently, airbags from parts supplier Takata have been recalled due to safety hazards. Please fill in the form below with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and contact details to determine if your vehicle is affected by the Takata Airbag recall. What is a VIN?

• This is a unique number used to identify your Mazda vehicle.
• Mazda VIN numbers begin with the letters, JM, AF, or MM.

Where can I find my VIN number?

• On the outside lower left corner of the windscreen.
• On the license disc of the vehicle.
• On your vehicle registration documents (NATIS).
• Mazda VIN numbers begin with the letters, JM, AF, or MM.

How to enter your VIN?

• Exactly 17 characters long.
• Letters and numbers only - no punctuation, dashes or spaces.
• From a South African Mazda (imported vehicles may not work in this tool).
• It won’t contain the letter ‘O’. If you see anything looking like that, it is a number ‘0’ (zero)
• It won’t contain the letter ‘I’ (upper case ‘i’). If you see anything looking like that, it is a number ‘1’ (one).
• It won’t contain the letter ‘Q’ (upper case ‘q’)
